About Sally:

Sally Young has competed in retriever events with her dogs since 1998. She knows several of the people in AKC who developed FETCH.  She believes that when you own a dog you have an obligation to engage in daily activities with them that are fun and that require you and your dog to work together.  She sees learning how to do FETCH as one way to do this. The Advanced and Retriever FETCH levels introduce new skills, asking your dog to stay with you, and then move away from you to retrieve and return a dropped and out of view ball or bumper.  For most dogs this is not a natural move. She will talk about and train those skills with you in fun and positive ways, breaking them into steps to build the behaviors required for success in the higher FETCH levels.
